Seven station facilities have been proposed for this Project. General locations for stations have been identified, but precise parcels to be aquired are subject to further refinement.
Target parcels will be identified for the environmental document that are suitable for development of station facilities. These target parcels are identified based on proximity to the rail line and current status of occupation (i.e., only vacant lands or lands owned by a public agency are under consideration). Most of the properties that could be potentially acquired for stations are private properties. A potential site for the Moreno Valley/March Field Station is owned by the March Joint Powers Authority. The proposed commuter rail station sites at Perris and UCR are on RCTC-owned property.
It should be noted that some of the proposed station facilities might not be developed in the start-up phase; they have been included so that a reasonable picture of total impacts can be presented.
